As long as I'm scratch building, I went ahead and did the Southbound bridge over I-85.
This is the second version of my N Scale Model Railroad. It is housed in a 900 square foot building and has over 1000 feet of track. There are 3 railroads represented: Norfolk Southern (NS), Winston Salem Southbound (WSS) and the High Point Thomasville & Denton (HPT&D).

Lexington Depot

Maybelle Transport Tanks
Well, it used to be known as Maybelle. That's what a lot of older people in town still call it. I think the current moniker is Bulk Transfer. There's usually some tanker trucks from HFCS (Corn Products) around there. I started with 2 large tanks at the edge of the property. Made them with a piece of PVC pipe and some sheet styrene.

Bridges Completed
Both the Yadkin River and Flat Swamp bridges are nearly complete. Sill need to finish paint and weather and eventually add track, but they are good enough to sit aside and start on something else.

Second Scratchbuilt Started
With the success of the Flat Swamp bridges, I "jumped" right in to the Yadkin River....bridge, that is. Two sections done, only 6 more to go. I have been taking a good deal of flack from Jim Flynn and Robin Eanes about buying out the entire Plastruct rack. "Maybe you should just take the whole rack home and bring back what you don't use." Ha Ha very funny.
